The best times here atop Moon Ruins tower at the new Moon Ruins Corporate HQ, are when we get to release albums. This vinyl, my friends, is a beautiful sea blue + opaque gray with black splatter. A little combo we like to call, "Dark Water".

Blood Lemon received plenty of praise for their debut LP. NPR Music, A.V. Club, SPIN, and other outlets of repute (NBD) lauded their debut that garnered comparisons to other beloved female-fronted influences like Sleater-Kinney and The Breeders.

Blood Lemon is back with their EP "Petite Deaths", a release with widened emotional registers. While bassist Mel Radford was on break from serving as a band member in indie stalwarts Built To Spill, Blood Lemon collaborated with acclaimed fuzz lord Dave Catching (Desert Sessions, Queens of the Stone Age, earthlings?) at the legendary Rancho De La Luna studio. The group approached the sessions as a getaway, rather than a typical recording session and to fully embrace the break, they lodged in a neighboring bungalow on the premises, taking advantage of the chance to temporarily escape from the distractions of our daily life.
